Abstract
In the last decade iodine supply of numerous Belarussian regions has significantly improved due to steady activities of its government and international organization (UNISEF/WHO). Reduction of iodine deficiency in the surveyed regions of Belarus was caused mainly by widespread use of iodine salt by the population and increased uptake of iodine-containing food.
