THE ROLE OF THIN-NEEDLE ASPIRATION BIOPSY IN DIAGNOSTIC OF THIROID CANSER

Abstract

The paper analyzes the results of thin-needle biopsy (TNAB).The purpose of the paper was to evaluate the efficiency of TNAB in the differential diagnosis of thyroid carcinoma .The data of TNAB were compared with the histological findings in 305 patients undergoing surgery. The sensitivity were - 96,3%, the prognostic values as for the presence of cancer were - 90,2%.
