<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>An analytical review of literature data on modern approaches to the management of pregnant patients with fetal growth restriction (FGR) was carried out, which revealed the main problems relating to terminology, diagnosis, treatment, prevention and delivery of patients with this pathology. Data from literary sources are illustrated by personal observations, which showed that FGR remains a complex problem of obstetrics and requires a high degree of professional competence and ethical responsibility when choosing tactics for pregnancy management. According to the conducted study, it was concluded that it is necessary to introduce international approaches to the problem of FGR into the clinical practice of obstetricians and gynecologists of the Republic of Belarus.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>задержка роста плода</kwd><kwd>малый для гестационного возраста плод</kwd><kwd>плацентарная недостаточность</kwd><kwd>ультразвуковая фетометрия</kwd><kwd>допплерометрия</kwd><kwd>кардиотокография</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>fetal growth restriction</kwd><kwd>small for gestational age fetus</kwd><kwd>placental insufficiency</kwd><kwd>ultrasound biometry</kwd><kwd>Doppler velocimetry</kwd><kwd>cardiotocography</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование проведено без спонсорской поддержки</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">The study was conducted without sponsorship</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Blue NR, Page JM, Silver RM.
