Меланин является естественным пигментом с установленной радиопротекторной активностью. Результаты исследования показали, что меланин не оказывал цитотоксического эффекта, а его введение в клеточную среду за 1 час до облучения вызывало снижение частоты формирования микроядер и уровня апоптоза в облученных малыми дозами лимфоцитах, проявляя, таким образом, возможное радиопротекторное действие.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The influence of melanin pigment on micronuclei frequency and «genetic» apoptosis induction in human peripheral blood lymphocytes after low dose radiation exposure has been studied. Melanin is known to be natural substance with shown radioprotective activity. Results of the investigation revealed that melanin has no cytotoxic effect and its addition to the cell medium one hour before irradiation was accompanied by decrease of micronuclei frequency and apoptosis level in irradiatd lymphocytes, thus showing radioprotective effect.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>меланин</kwd><kwd>апоптоз</kwd><kwd>микроядра</kwd><kwd>радиопротекторы</kwd><kwd>малые дозы.</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>MELANIN</kwd><kwd>APOPTOSIS</kwd><kwd>MICRONUCLEI</kwd><kwd>RADIOPROTECTORS</kwd><kwd>LOW DOSES</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Международный государственный экологический университет им.
