Обследовано 449 пациентов с сахарным диабетом (СД) 1 и 2 типа в возрасте старше 25 лет. Лабораторное обследование пациентов включало определение в сыворотке крови цистатина С, креатинина, расчет скорости клубочковой фильтрации (СКФ) по формуле CKD-EPI, определение уровня альбуминурии.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Продемонстрирована роль цистатина С в качестве надежного маркера диабетической нефропатии: уровень цистатина С ≥0,72 мг/л с чувствительностью 90,8 %, специфичностью 88,9% ассоциировался с начинающейся нефропатией при СД (ROC AUC = 0,951).</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение. Определение уровня цистатина С — одного или совместно с креатинином — поможет более точной диагностике СКФ и оценке риска развития смертности и почечных событий у пациентов с СД.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective: to assess the clinical signiﬁcance of cystatin C in the early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy.</p></sec><sec><title>Materials and methods</title><p>Materials and methods. We examined 449 patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitusolder than 25 years. The laboratory examination of the patients included the measurement of cystatin, creatinine in the blood serum, GFR calculation according to the CKD-EPI equation, and the determination of albuminuria levels.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. The role of cystatin C as a reliable marker of diabetic nephropathy has been demonstrated: the level of cystatin C ≥ 0.72 mg/L with sensitivity of 90.8 %, speciﬁcity of 88.9 %, was associated with a decline of renal function in the diabetic patients (ROC AUC = 0.951).</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
